Submitting CEUs for Renewal

The CEU counter/tracker on your Dashboard page will auto-populate CEUs earned through our website. The CEU tracker does NOT allow manual entry of CEUs.


Typically, 6 CEUs are required for each credential. If you are newly credentialed, you may owe a pro-rated amount of CEUs.

The amount of CEUs you owe can be found in emails from renewals@aihc-assn.org sent about 6 weeks prior to your renewal date. 


We are happy to accept CEUs from most outside organizations (CMS, AHIMA, AAPC, BC Advantage, HCCA, MGMA, etc.).

If you have CEUs from outside sources, email renewals@aihc-assn.org with the information below at the time of your renewal payment.

Date the CEU was earned

Credential(s) you are applying the CEU to

CEU Category it applies to (CORE, HIPAA or Ethics)

How many CEUs the item was worth (1 hour = 1 CEU)

Credential Lapsed/Revoked?  Refresher for Reinstatement of Credentials

Please email the Renewals Department at renewals@aihc-assn.org before purchasing a non-refundable Refresher for Reinstatement course, as additional requirements may need to be met depending on the length of time your credential has lapsed. Also, if you have multiple credentials to reinstate, you may NOT need to take multiple refresher courses depending on the credentials involved.


If you have been directed here by the Renewals Department, please follow the steps below:

  • Pay the annual membership renewal fee (located at the top of this page or by using the link).
  • Purchase the appropriate Refresher for Reinstatement course listed below.
  • Click on the “My Dashboard” tab on the website and scroll down to “Your Courses" to access the refresher.

You will have access to the course for 90 days from the date of purchase. However, if you are taking this course to earn CEUs for your reinstatement, you may need to complete it sooner as directed by the Renewals Department.
